Colleen is the owner and principal of Soft Skills Australia, and developer of the Soft Skills Assessment ©, a profiling tool that uncovers individual and organisational blind spots. In skilled hands the Assessment allows an ongoing exploration of the two questions it is necessary to address simultaneously in order to create an open and hence sustainable organisation which can also foster all the individuals within it.

Colleen's expertise is in working with teams and managers to articulate vision, values and purpose and translate these into powerful organisational practices and behaviours at corporate, divisional and work unit levels. She has worked for twenty-five years managing the link between organisational and personal development in companies: analysing needs, and designing and delivering targeted, outcomes-driven interventions for strategic cultural change, business and team development. She uses specialised experiential approaches to improve performance and profitability.
Colleen’s work is behavioural. Dramatization, role playing and attention to language allow forensic examination of individual experience and the limiting aspects of underlying mental models. These are reworked, in a combination of individual and group coaching sessions, using live issues in real time, to foster the development of new skills and create an organisation where collaboration, trust and initiative are possible.
This frees up the leadership team to have with each other the powerful and direct conversations needed in order to create solutions which work for all concerned as well as for the business.
