Peter’s early work experience in Papua & New Guinea more than 30 years ago contributed to his view of organisations as structures of “embedded mythology” within tribal boundaries. This notion certainly informed his post-University career in a range of HR assignments including Organisation Development, Management Training, Psychometric Testing and Selection, and Work and Salary Evaluation for companies in the Mining and Energy sectors.
However, the work of shifting tribal boundaries (now called culture change) can be politically hazardous! So, following a career break as a professional actor, Peter studied Naturopathy and went on to conduct several profitable practices in Naturopathic Clinical Medicine and Counselling Psychology as both a Practitioner and a Company Director, developing an expertise in mind-body medicine. This led to a series of successful engagements in Sales Management, Research, Marketing, Training and Presentation for Natural Pharmaceutical companies in Australia and North America. In 1999 Peter was acknowledged as a “pioneer” in Complementary Medicine in Australia at the Fifth International Symposium in Functional Medicine.
Since undertaking post-graduate studies in Coaching Psychology at the University of Sydney (2000) he has returned to Organisation Change Consultancy with a unique perspective on Leadership drawing from Positive Psychology, Neurobiology, and Complexity Theory.
Peter believes successful action in any endeavour flows inevitably from clear and conscious intention. His highest intention is eliciting wisdom in leadership for planetary survival.
