Executive Coaching

“Coaching is a search for meaning - a way of accessing the deeper motivations of clients for ethically sustainable, high-value performance”.
With critical demands for leaner, more cost-efficient and accountable public and private organisations the costs associated with poorly performing senior managers and executives become magnified.

Benefits

ITC Executive Coaching programs provide a professional, evidence-based, self-development curriculum for building leadership capability and learning how to make wiser decisions in business and in life.
  • Improve your handling of business processes, people, and teams.
  • Enhance your skills in performance management and motivation of others.
  • Develop your authentic leadership capability.
  • Get clarity of thinking without self-deception.
  • Better understanding and practice of the various components of Emotional Intelligence, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, social-awareness, and relationship management.
  • Discover new ways of seeing your world – strategically, politically, or dynamically.
  • Explore work-life balance and career-critical intentions.
  • Enhance your wise decision making for overcoming dilemmas in business and in life.
  • A safe and ethical reflective space from which to review problems and their potential solutions.

“Coaching was a way to get me to ask the questions of myself and come to the answers myself. (I was) able to see more clearly the issues and how to deal with them. (Which gave me) a level of realization.”
--- Craig Pudig, Managing Partner, Clayton Utz, Sydney

Implementation

ITC’s methodology for delivering executive coaching services is based on the Masters Degree programs in the Psychology of Coaching at the University of Sydney. ITC’s coaching process includes:
  • Meetings with the client and nominated stakeholders to establish criteria for the coaching assignment, and look for clear and ethical agreement from all stakeholders.
  • Let the client try out different coaches in order to ensure the “chemistry” is there from the start.
  • Look for ways to measure feedback on precisely the same behaviors identified as key goals of the client.
  • Vigorous and candid conversations, with clear boundaries of confidentiality, and defined accountabilities for each participant in the coaching agreement.
  • Accountability to a coaching ethics policy drawn from the APS (Australian Psychological Society) code of professional conduct.
  • Accurate, valid, and psychometrically rigorous assessment and personal feedback on leadership behaviours, typically the HLF (Hogan Leadership Forecast) or the MLQ-360 (Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire).
  • Coaching is considered part of a comprehensive leadership development program, including mentoring and training.

ITC’s executive coaching is provided by six consultants - Peter Webb, Sue Tsigaros, Peter Jones, Paula Robinson, Meg Campbell-Dowling, and Richard Thorpe, with an emphasis on post-graduate coaching psychology qualifications together with broad business experience. ITC can access additional consultants via our extensive professional networks to meet any surges in demand.
